New Film Scanner

negative-01.jpgRecently I’ve had need to scan photos into web pages.

To this end, we got an Epson Perfection 4180 scanner. It has a film template that allows me to easily scan negatives in. The one above is from 1991. So far so good…

  1. Well, I have to say… I couldn’t afford the 4180, so I got the 3590 and I feel the same way. It does an amazing job of scanning negatives. They require a bit of touch up afterward (I hate letting the scanner run in auto mode) but man, the pictures are great.

Epson does make some great scanners…

  2. Actually, it was an impulse purchase. My Mother In Law wanted to borrow the Negatives from my Wedding Banquet! Nothing against her, but I just *DON’T* lend out negatives. So, I got it at Circuit City at a decent price.

Don’t much like Circuit City’s return policies, but it worked out since I’m keeping it…
